*CALL TO WORSHIP
The God of the whirlwind and fire
sweeps into our presence in this hour.
Glory be to God, who strengthens us
and blesses all
people with peace.
God,
who called all the world into being,
calls forth new life in us today.
Glory be to God, in whose
creative
purpose we are
claimed and empowered.
God, whose Spirit unites all people in a common language of love,
confirms God’s gifts in us as we gather here.
Glory be to God, who created light in which
we can walk in
confident expectation.

Spirit of the living God, visit us again
on this day of Pentecost.
Come, Holy Spirit.
Like
a rushing wind that sweeps away all barriers,

With
speech that unites the Babel of our tongues,
come, Holy Spirit.
With
love that overleaps the boundaries of race and nations,

power from above to make our weakness strong,
